Have you recently rebranded your business? Does your company’s website seem very blah to you? Then it may be time for a website makeover! OPEN by American Express says of your website “Think of it as your business card, except instead of having to hand it out, the customers come to you. Just as you do offline, you’ll want to represent your business online in the best light.” It is important to have your website best represent the message your business wants to convey to its current and potential customers. If your website seems simple, plain, and boring your potential customers browsing the web may think of your business that way as well.

We all love to save money – but we are all guilty of being penny wise and pound foolish. Spending more to make more is better than spending less to make less. Hiring a pro for 1000/hr who can do your project in one hour or a “cheap” inexperienced person for 5/hr who will take 200 hours to finish is the same thing. It’s not the per hour rate – it’s what it will cost overall to make it work and make you more profit.

- Review the amount of web space for your needs As your site and blog expands you want to plan for future expansion. Most sites use less than 5MB of web space but as sites add more data including pictures, animation, sound files and video clips you will need more space.
- FTP access Make sure you have access to your FTP and you set up the hosting agreement yourself and not through a 3rd party unless you really trust them.
