HootSuite is a Tracking Tool, Not a Crutch
Things I’ve learned while using HootSuite and Twitter
Lately I’ve been getting more involved in our own Princeton Marketing Twitter account, @PrincetonMktg. I enjoy monitoring and working on our clients’ social media accounts but it’s a lot of fun to work on building our own social presence. Here are a few things I have learned since working on our own Twitter account for the past year.
Advertising with Facebook
Is your message being heard?
Many of you now have a Facebook Page for your business since Facebook is the most popular social media platform. Facebook is also one of the best ways to reach your target audience. Now that you have created your business’s page on Facebook, you need to gain “Likes,” also known as followers or fans. There are many ways to gain Likes on your page, but one of the fastest and most effective ways is to do advertising on Facebook.

Cross-Browser Testing of Websites
Do you test your website on multiple web browsers?
When building a website there are a few things to take into consideration. The first being, when you decide the width of your website, you must still account for square monitors. The second thing you must do is cross-browser testing.
Browsers’ Share of the Web
Which browser do you use?
Did you know there is more than one web browser out there? Do you only use Firefox or Internet Explorer? Studies have shown that Internet Explorer, which at one point was the most used web browser, is now one of the least used browsers.

The Future of Direct-Mail Samples: The Sample Showcase
Everyone loves free samples, especially when you receive them in the mail. Recently, the U.S. Postal Service introduced a new way to ship samples—the Sample Showcase box. It is a cute, bright, and colorful box that can be used to ship your products to your targeted consumers. The beauty of these little boxes is that they not only contain your samples inside, but they say U.S. Postal Service on them. Consumers will feel compelled to open a sample box that is backed by someone with as much authority as the USPS.
