You may hear about Public Relations(PR) as people in marketing discuss this term. Well…What is it? PR is a marketing venue focused on maintaining public image for businesses, non-profits, high-profile people, such as athletes, politicians and celebrities. It is a form of communication between an entity, organization, or individual and the general public. PR provides exposure to an audience using topics of public interest and news items that may provide a third-party endorsement and do not direct any type of payment. PR is used to build rapport with employees, customers, investors, voters, or the general public. Almost any business entity that wants a say in how it is portrayed in the public mindset employs some level of PR for their company.
